Road Trip!

A "Road Trip" sure does sound good to me and these nostalgic "Route 66" stamps, really take you back in time! Can you imagine going on a long road trip with no bumper to bumper traffic? Tomorrow is the 4th of July and I know there will be plenty of people heading out to the beach and various events around the country. Well onto my tag!
I so love this stamp plate, which is also so perfect for creating something special for the men in our lives. I first painted and crackled my background and then cut a second tag of tissue paper, cut angles and trimmed off a little at the edges for the tag background to show through. Each panel was stamped with Sepia Archival and shaded with Vintage Photo stain.

I stamped, cut and embossed the signs and words with Archival and clear EP. The car scene was stamped and shaded with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo and all were matted on black.
For the bottle cap wheel, I added a gear and a large rubber washer to finish off the tag!
Hope you enjoyed today's visit and have a wonderful Wednesday! For those celebrating over the 4th of July, enjoy and be safe!  This is the beginning of July and with that comes a new Monthly Referral Program and again it is "Anything Goes" with AO stamps! There is also going to be a change to the monthly challenge and you can read all the exciting news HERE!

This is just amazing, Terry! That tyre is fab! And the whole thing is so evocative as it reminds me of roadtrips Col and I used to do in the States,
