You've just got time...

Yes, you have... you've just got time to enter the January Referral here at Artistic Outpost, with any project using an AO stamp, and the chance to win a whole new set...

And here's a tag using the White Rabbit from the brilliant Wonderland Collage set to get you focussed and, I hope, send you running to your craft desk to take part!
I had such fun making this one - it was another accidental start that developed into a tag that really pleases me.

The background happened because I wanted to try out a spritz of Colorwash diluted with water that I was using for a different project.  There was a tag lying nearby, so I thought, "what the heck - we'll see what happens, bound to be able to do something with it"!
Far more liquid came out than I was expecting so, in a moment of remembering one of Tim Holtz's tags from last year, I grabbed a straw and started to blow at it to splat it around the surface of the tag.  Oh boy, I love the effect!!  The movement and the random chaos of it clearly indicated urgency, so from there it was a very short step to the White Rabbit getting in on the act.
The clock face is also from Wonderland Collage (as is the sentiment), and the numbers are from Generation Redux (moving up on Think and Wonder, though not yet quite ousting it as my favourite set!).  I first stamped the numbers in Coffee Archival, and then overstamped using Fresco Snowflake paint - giving a chalky, slightly dimensional effect.
The White Rabbit himself is stamped in a combination of Archival Inks tapped onto the stamp randomly - Black, Coffee and Sepia.

I did the same combination for the sentiment, and restamped a couple of times so that I got progressively more faded versions.  I played for a while with where they should go on the tag before coming up with the fan which rather nicely gives you repetitions of No time, No time and Good-bye, Good-bye!
Oh yes, and you have to guess what the "topper" is made out of...

I hope that you might just have time to say "hello" in a comment before you rush off to enter the Artistic Outpost competition, but thank you for stopping by in any case, and see you again soon.

This is terrific, Alison. I love your use of the different shades of ink on the stamp; it works really well, and I love the way you write. Such a fun way to remind us to join in the challenge. I think the coil is made of Dymo tape?!? Great idea!

Fabulous 'accident' which was worth reaching to the straw for!! I love the layered look, the colour palette and that cassette tape on the top is an inspired idea (I still have a few tapes left - now I know what to do with them!).

Brilliant Alison! I am guessing the topper is made out of old cassette tape! Love your tag.

haha, the tag is perfect and I LOVE the ribbon! Dare I give it away early? I think it's cassette ribbon from pre CD's :)

Wonderful tag Alison and now it appears I must keep some straws in my craft room!
Some Alice in Wonderland stamps are a bit OTT but this set I like!
Love the idea of cassette tape too! Got a mountain of those I could use!

Funny thing is that I have saved some cassette and video tape, so guess what my choice is? Love the rabit! This is one of my favorite sets, next to OZ! Beautiful tag! Hugs!

Love the combination of stamping on this and that splatter blown background is genius. And what inspired you to use tape from a cassette? It's perfect. Hugs, Jenny x
