Halloween Coffin

Artistic Outpost have just released a fabulous plate for Halloween, GOTHIC 31, a wonderful mix of images perfect for those Halloween creations.

I decided to decorate a coffin with my first piece, adding tissue to the base for added texture and once dry painting with arylic paint. Dry brushing with a little orange to highlight all the texture from the tissue. I have added the skeleton to an ornate frame coloured with gold paint dabber, stamping the image with black archival ink and ageing with vintage photo, adding Distress Clear Rock Candy to the top of the image to add further to the aged feel.  The small skull has also been added to a smaller ornate frame and again Clear Rock Candy has been added to the top.
I have added a little detail around the edges of my coffin, using the On The Edge iron gate die along with two dimensional skulls for further interest.
Of course I could not forget to decorate the inside, adding a skull and the fabulous sentiment from the same plate.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
