DREAMING OF SUMMER

As I type this I am still hoping for a liitle bit of Summer, here in the UK we have had nothing but rain. However, the Huck Finn plate really reminds me of our Summer holidays by the beach with the children.
I masked a circle in the background and sponged with broken china, faded jeans and weathered wood Distress Ink to give that sea feel and then spritzed with water. To add a little interest to the background of my card I sponged broken china ink through sequin waste. I stamped the young boys with black archival ink and coloured with Distress Markers.
For added dimension and texture I included some natural twine, wooden button and some burlap along with a strip cut using the washer border die, coloured with broken china and vintage photo ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I think this is great... I love the driftwood atmosphere of the burlap, and the water effect's lovely. Another AO stamp to covet!
