Happy Birthday!

I'm using the birthday celebration sketch for this card. I've rotated it a bit and moved the right box to the left. You get the idea.

I've used images/sentiments from 3 different Artistic Outspost stamp sets. I stamped an image from The Outpost on to cardstock painted with acrylic paints. "From the funny farm" is from the Home plate . "Happy Birthday" is from Polaroid Cutie

Vintage Christmas

I stamped the Vintage Santa from the Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods Plate on Caramel card stock, then used the Sepia Technique to add color. To color his beard, I painted on Rock Candy Stickles with an old H20 Brush, then dabbed on some White Pastels, layed onto a Black Panel cut with Spellbinders Circle Dies, then onto my Sleigh.

Honoring Veterans

I created this collaged tag in honor of Veterans' Day.
Stamps: Hero

In honor of Veterans everywhere....

This is one of my favorite cards using the She-roes plate.
I realized I had never shared it here and thought this would be a wonderful day to do so!
To all of those that have fought for our freedom...we salute you!
It is also my birthday today and I am so proud to have been born on a day where we honor our brave men and women!

Vintage Christmas

I just love the Vintage Santa from the Snowy Woods Plate. Here I paired him with the Wassail papers from Basic Grey. They image is stamped in Black Archival on White card stock. Once dry, sponge on Fried Brick Red Ink, and Frayed Burlap. Crumple card stock a bit, sponge on more Frayed Burlap. Lightly spritz with water.

Fortune Teller Card

This stamp set is one of my favorites, Fortune Teller. It was a labor of love to design.

I enjoyed creating this card predominantly because of the way the colors just pop. I used Distress Inks to create the collaged background paper, and Copics to color the main image. I love the way the Distress Inks just pop on the Neenah cardstock. The inks just float on the surface. I have always used Distress Inks as a more direct to paper ink than a stamping ink, because of the "wetness" factor. However, with this "like buttah" cardstock, the inks just work.

Thanks for taking a look,
Robyn

A Belated Congratulations....

WE apologize for this late public congratulations...we mentioned it in our newsletter, but not on our blog. We simply must toot our own horn and recognize our DT coordinator Lisa Somerville for being a Stampers Sampler covergirl. Her beautiful cards are featured on this month's SS, and we could NOT be prouder.

Also featured in this magazine using Artistic Outpost stamps are our very own DT member, Lynn Stevens, and customer Debbie Kaste. We are proud of each of you for sharing your talent with the world!

We love our talented designers and customers!!!!!!

Simplify - Wall Hanging

Just a little fall inspired wall hanging created to honor our simple mantra. I was inspired by a Halloween project that Shelly Hickox created for AO in 2008. I "recycled" her ideas and created this piece.

I created this wall hanging using Generation Redux stamps. These images were stamped onto the Solar White Neenah card stock. The image is super crisp and clean, no bleeding, and stamped with Staz-On ink.

Wall hanging is simple thin MDF 3 x 9" piece of wood collaged with designer paper and vintage textbook. Dresden trim was used to embellish. Simple circle hooks screwed into the wood and light gauge wire wrapped to provide hanging element.

This is truly an easy decor element to create. What variations could you create??? Holiday? Birthday?

Thanks for looking - Robyn
