Road Trip -Route 66

I have such fond memories growing up as a child. Every summer our family we would take a vacation A road trip if you will. Usually somewhere in the Northwest. I have traveled this highway many times. I remember the old gas pumps at the filling stations, the cactus in the desert, and the old diners along the way. The highway may be long forgotten but will live on in my memories. If you want to relive some of your memories or create new ones you can pick up Route 66 at artisticoutpost Designed by Lynn Stevens, Guest designer for Artistic Outpost.

Happiness

Artistic Outpost images speak for themselves. I just want to make backgrounds and stamp the images and they are so beautiful. I find that I really don't need to do a lot of coloring . Which is great! That means the images are fantastic. This is from the Happiness plate. It is one of my favorites.

This is the inside of the card.

Thanks, Pat & Technique Junkies!

This month Artistic Outpost is an advertiser in the latest issue of the Technique Junkie's newsletter. Pat does such a fantastic job with the newsletter and two of our designers are also designers for her. Check out Pat's website and if you haven't subscribed, please do. I PROMISE you will not be disappointed. I learn something in each issue.

I love the newsletter especially because it is "home grown". It is something that is a labor of love for Pat and her team of designers. That's how I feel about Artistic Outpost.

There's just three of us, my husband, BFF Shelley, and me. We are but a downstairs bedroom and closet, but we have design team members that live all over North America from Florida to Illinois to Canada that we owe a great deal to. We love hearing from you, and getting to know what you like, don't like, and what you want to see in our stamp line. Most of our collections are born by suggestions, inspiration, or mere twinklings from you.

Thanks for continuing to inspire us...
Robyn

Geek is Chic and Distant Generations

Not everything that counts.....

This card was created using the Geek Is Chic set. I really like the Einstein postage image so I started with that. I stamped it on glossy paper using StazOn ink. The numbers image was stamped in greens & blues with added ruler/compass designs along the edges for the background. The verse was stamped in black & embossed with clear. I added white accents with a white gel pen. The ribbon was colored to match with Copic markers. A few embellishments finish the design.

I used the Distant Generations set to create this card. The patterned paper is from Graphic 45. It reminded me of old wallpaper. The "photo" image was stamped on glossy paper & distressed with Anitque Linen & Vintage Photo Distress inks. I also added Distress inks on the frame & around the card edges. I used 2 Spellbinders dies to create the frame.

Keeper Stamp Plate

I really liked working with this stamp plate called Keeper. Lots of fun accessory stamps and I loved coloring the main images. Coloring is what I do, so the more I can do the better I like it!

The next card is 4 1/2 X 11 but I will probably use it as part of a fishing scrapbook page, or send it to my son in Oklahoma, who lives on a lake.
